I'm kind of an organization freak. Like...I get unnaturally excited going into the Container Store. Lately, I've been buying more tea than normal and all those little tea boxes all over the place was driving me crazy. Of course, I also wanted an excuse to purchase more storage boxes. (yay pretty containers!)
However, I decided instead of purchasing a tea box organizer I would just make one from a box I already owned and some cardstock.
What You'll Need:
A wooden box
cardstock (I used a kraft color)
Putting it together:
I roughly measured how many sections I would want. For my particular box I knew I could only fit 4 sections. I measured the cardstock height and width and cut my cardstock (which I folded in two so that it would be sturdier). If you're make a box of 4 compartments then you'll need two strips. For one strip I cut from the bottom up, being careful not to cut too high up. For the second strip I cut from the top being sure not to cut all the way. All you have to do next is slot the two pieces together then slip the little "t" into the box and fill with your tea bags.
If you have a larger box you would do the same but cut more slits along a "main" strip and then cut more strips for the rest of the compartments.
